Our take on what "impact" some of the new crop of NFL Rookies will
have on the 2005 Fantasy Football season ....

QUARTERBACKS

 * Alex Smith / 49ers - He should be the starter by mid to late season.
Although
you need to watch his contract situation. Don't be surprised if he doesn't
sign
until sometime after the pre-season games start.

 * Aaron Rodgers / Packers - Should do no more than hold a clipboard for the
season, and maybe get in a few plays late in the season if the Packers fall
out
of playoff contention.

 * Jason Campbell / Redskins - With an early signing, and a good showing in
the
pre-season, he has a chance to be the starter.

 * Charlie Frye / Browns - Well, SOMEBODY has to line up behind center !
With Braylon
Edwards also on board, they could be a great tandem for years.

 * Andrew Walter / Raiders - PAC 10 record holder, with 85 TD passes. Gannon
will be
gone, he might be stepping into a good situation.

RUNNING BACKS

 * Ronnie Brown / Dolphins - Might be the next Ladanian. Can run, catch and
block
with the best of them ! Dolphins O-line is suspect, but without much
competition for
the starting job, he should put up good numbers this year.

 * Cedric Benson / Bears - Also going into a good situation, and should see
plenty
of touches early and often. (not having the Sooners on his schedule should
also help) ;-)

 * Carnell Williams / Bucs - It's no wonder Auburn had a great season last
year. Brown,
Williams, Carlos Rogers and Jason Campbell were all NFL rookie draft first
rounders !!
Should be the starter near the start of the season.

 * JJ Arington / Cardinals - 2018 yards as a senior. Going into a good
situation. Although
only 5-9, should be the feature back right away.

 * Eric Shelton / Panthers - 30 career TD's at Louisville. Crowded
backfield,
time will tell.

 * Frank Grove / 49ers - Might be a reach. Had bad injuries to both knees,
although he has
run great since overcoming it.

WIDE RECEIVERS / TIGHT ENDS

 * Braylon Edwards / Browns - Great receiver, also big at 6-3, 211 pounds.
Great hands. Should
make a good impact right away, although QB "problems" will hurt him for a
while.

 * Troy Williamson / Vikings - Moss' replacement is a good one. VERY fast,
and averaged
19.3 yards a catch. Only 6-1, but matched up with Dante, he should be a top
WR in the
NFL very soon.

 * Mike Williams / Lions - Wow, do the Lions like taking WR's in the 1st
round every year or
what ? He'll be a good WR, and most likely a good Fantasy WR starter. He's a
huge mismatch
for many DB's, at 6-5 and 230 pounds. Should excel in the red-zone. QB
situation iffy, but he'll be a star in the NFL for years to come.

 * Matt Jones / Jaguars - BIG and FAST guy, but where will he play ? QB ? WR
? TE ?

 * Mark Clayton / Ravens - Baltimore is desperate for WR's, so look for
Clayton to make the
starting lineup right away. Yet another iffy QB situation though.

 * Roddy White / Falcons - Yet another ....well you know.

 * Heath Miller (TE) / Steelers - Good situation, with Riemersma gone.

KICKERS

 * Mike Nugent / Jets - He'll start, and for a 2nd round pick, he better
produce right away.
