Our "take" on the 2011 NFL Draft, as it relates to our scoring system:
QB's
---------------
Cam Newton / Panthers - Probably not much this year, but "Limo"Clausen" is
NOT the long term answer. Might be a major star in 2012, or a major bust...
Jake Locker / Titans - Looked better after his 2009 season, than the last
one... a little bit of a reach this high in the Draft... looks like a
starter in 2012...
Blaine Gabbert / Jags - Going into a good situation, Garrard not a favorite
of the front office... spot playing in all of 2011, possible starter late in
the season.
Christian Ponder / Vikings - Also going into a good situation, competition
wide open for the starter this season...
Andy Dalton / Bengals - What a mess...Palmer likely gone, not much
competition... may get the starting position by default... and struggle all
season...
RB's
---------------
Mark Ingram / Saints - Great situation, my choice for Rookie of the Year in
the NFL. Bush probably gone, Pierre still banged up ?
Ryan Williams / Cardinals - Just has to beat out Hightower (and Wells ?).
So-so production in 2011 even if he does.
Daniel Thomas / Dolphins - Might be the starter by default. Williams and
Brown could both be gone after the lockout .... Might struggle early, but
will give Ingram a run for MVP late in the season.
WR/TE's
---------------
AJ Green / Bengals - Good situation .. eventually...will most likely have a
rookie QB this year ...
Julio Jones / Falcons - Great situation, look for some decent numbers this
year.
Jonathan Baldwin / Chiefs - Good fit, and going to a team with a big need,
as Bowe the only solid WR on the roster.
Kyle Rudolph / Vikings - TE, not much as far as fantasy points this year..
Titus Young / Lions - Wont see a lot of playing time in 2011.
Randall Cobb / Packers - Good pick for GB, who need depth, but will most
likely be the #3 WR on roster.
